Overview
The Ads Management retainer is our monthly engagement to plan, run, and optimize paid search and paid social campaigns on Google (Search + Performance Max) and Meta (Facebook + Instagram). We treat campaigns as living systems β paused losers, scaled winners, weekly creative rotation.
What we deliver each month
- Campaign structure β account architecture, audience definitions, bid strategies, exclusion lists;
- Creative β ad copy, image and video variants (within reason; major new shoots are scoped separately);
- Landing-page alignment β vertical-matched landing page review, light copy tweaks, A/B tests (full new landing pages are scoped as add-ons);
- Conversion tracking β Google Ads conversion tags, Meta Conversion API, GA4 events, server-side tracking where viable;
- Optimization β pause losers, scale winners, creative rotation, budget reallocation;
- Weekly report β one-page Friday brief with what changed, what's next, and budget pacing.
Management fee vs. ad spend
Specifically:
- Our retainer fee is billed monthly via Stripe, in your local currency, at the rate on our pricing page.
- Ad spend is billed by Google Ads / Meta Ads Manager directly to your payment method, in their billing cycle, in their currency. We never see your ad spend pass through our accounts; we have no claim to it and bear no responsibility for it.
- We don't mark up ad spend. Every dollar you put in the platforms goes to the platforms.
Minimum ad spend
We work best with monthly ad spend of $1,500 (or equivalent in your currency) or more. Below that, the cost of managing the account often exceeds the return; we'll tell you up-front if your spend is too low for this retainer to make sense, and recommend an alternative.
Account ownership
You own your ad accounts. We work in your Google Ads and Meta Business Manager accounts as a delegated admin or via the Google Ads Manager Account (MCC) relationship. If you cancel, account access reverts to you; you keep the history, audiences, conversion data, and creative library.
If you don't yet have ad accounts, we'll set them up under your business name. You will be added as the owner; we will be added as a delegated admin.
Platform compliance
We follow Google Ads and Meta Advertising policies and won't run anything that violates them. If a campaign or asset is disapproved or your account is suspended for a policy reason, we'll: (a) flag it within one business day; (b) attempt to remediate; and (c) appeal where appropriate. We are not liable for platform-level account suspensions or rejections.
Some verticals are restricted on Google and Meta (gambling, healthcare claims, certain financial products, etc.). If you operate in a restricted vertical, tell us before we start.
Creative & landing pages
Ad copy and standard image/video variants are included. Photography, video shoots, and new landing pages are scoped as add-ons. We don't keep an offshore creative pool β everything is studio-produced or carefully sourced.
Conversion tracking
We implement first- and server-side conversion tracking (Google Ads Tag + Conversion API for Meta) where possible. Where you have a third-party CRM or analytics suite (e.g., HubSpot, Segment, PostHog), we'll integrate.
We make reasonable efforts to keep tracking accurate. Tracking is not perfect β iOS opt-out, browser privacy modes, ad blockers, and platform reporting differences all create variance. We report the best available data.
Performance β no guarantees
We don't promise specific CTR, CPC, CPL, ROAS, or revenue figures. We do commit to:
- Running the campaigns with diligence and weekly optimization;
- Pacing your budget within Β±10% of the agreed monthly target (absent unusual events);
- Reporting honestly, including the months where things didn't work.
Auction-based ad platforms are inherently competitive. If your competitors drive bids up, your numbers change β that's not a failure on our side, and isn't grounds for a refund.
Reporting cadence
A one-page weekly brief by end of day Friday. A deeper monthly review on the first business day of each month. Both include budget pacing, results vs. last period, and the next decisions queued up.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your payment method valid in Google Ads and Meta Business Manager.
- Approve creative variants within 2 business days.
- Tell us about offers, promotions, seasonality, and inventory issues before they happen.
- Don't make changes inside the ad accounts without telling us (they wreck our optimizations).
- Comply with platform policies and applicable advertising law in your country (e.g., disclosure rules, restricted-product rules).
Cancellation
Month-to-month, no minimum term. We ask for 14 days' written notice so we can:
- Pause campaigns cleanly (rather than mid-week);
- Hand over creative libraries and audience snapshots;
- Document recent learnings so you (or your next agency) don't relearn them.
If you cancel mid-month, the current month's fee is not pro-rated. We continue to manage the account through the end of the billing cycle.
Refunds
See the Refund Policy. Eligible cases are: first-7-day mismatch, duplicate billing, and material uncured breach by us. Other refunds are not available; the alternative-work guarantee covers mid-retainer issues.
We do not refund ad spend. Ad spend goes directly from you to the platforms.
